"I'd rather not waste my time watching it," said White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson, expressing her disdain for SNL's latest episode. She continued, "Like many Americans, I have better things to do, like watching paint dry!"
The season's first cold open featured James Austin Johnson as Trump, interrupting Colin Jost's impression of Pete Hegseth. Johnson's Trump was quick to criticize SNL, referencing the show's recent cast changes and claiming it was "off to a rough start."
But here's where it gets interesting: Trump threatened SNL, warning that his "attack dog" at the FCC, Brendan Carr, would come after them. Mikey Day, portraying Carr, then entered the scene, dancing to Rockwell's "Somebody's Watching Me." Carr corrected Trump on his name, saying, "It's actually Brendan, sir." Trump's response? "It's crazy you think I care. Bye!"
And this is the part most people miss: Trump ended with a chilling warning, "Remember: Daddy's watching."
